The Mountain Inn Bed & Breakfast in Coolaney is ideally located at the half way point of the Sligo Camino or the Sligo Way as it is also known.
Why not stop over along the Way and rest those feet up by our warm fire, while you enjoy a Hot Toddy or a pint of Guinness whilst chatting the locals.
The Sligo Camino is an 80 km route that spans across the County of Sligo from Lough Talt, in the Ox Mountains near the Mayo border, to the town of Dromahair in County Leitrim.
There are magnificent views east over to Ben Bulben, north across Donegal Bay to Slieve League and west to the Nephin mountain range from the high moorland in the Ox Mountains during the early part of the route, and some pleasant woodland lakeside sections towards the end.
Attractions along the way include WB Yeats Lake Isle of Inishfree on Lough Gill, Slish Wood, Lough Lumann, Union Wood, Kings mountain, early lake dwellings around Lough Talt and many megalithic tombs, which are abundant in west Sligo.
