The Mountain Inn Bed & Breakfast is ideally located at the half way point of the Sligo Way.
Why not stop over and enjoy a pint of Guinness in the bar, while you rest your feet up by the fire!
The Sligo Way is an 80 km route that spans across the County of Sligo from Lough Talt, in the Ox Mountains near the Mayo border, to the town of Dromahair in County Leitrim.
There are magnificent views east over to Ben Bulben, north across Donegal Bay to Slieve League and west to the Nephin mountain range from the high moorland in the Ox Mountains during the early part of the route, and some pleasant woodland lakeside sections towards the end.
Attractions along the way include WB Yeats’s Lake Isle of Inishfree on Lough Gill, Slish Wood, Lough Lumann, Union Wood, Kings mountain, early lake dwellings on Lough Talt and many megalithic tombs, which are abundant in west Sligo.
The Sligo Way maps are quite easy to follow and many people walk it in their own time.
However, if you would rather be guided along the Sligo Way, join up with a group and meet new friends then you may be interested in the Sligo Camino Walk which takes place the 1st week in July every year (2021 Cancelled)
